Running into a headwind
Dear Friends,
With the primary now behind us, we need to gear up for what is sure to be a challenging General Election. November 2nd is just around the corner!
Despite the lack of leadership by the Republican Majority in Phoenix – which has led to a loss of more than 220,000 jobs in Arizona in two years and a decimation of our public schools – Republicans still maintain an advantage this November because of the national mood.
I am proud of my record promoting common-sense solutions to real problems, like ensuring that Arizona military veterans qualify for in-state tuition at Arizona colleges and universities. I was able to pass this bill with bipartisan support, and it is now law.
I remain committed to solving our budget crisis while protecting education and public safety, and honoring our military families. And I remain committed to being a team player, working to pass good legislation regardless of which Party it comes from.
But I need your help to continue this work.
